Summer indoor activities for Children 😍

Summer is definitely 🍺😎🏊🏼♀️here…and with it, the heat and rain. Those with kids, whether toddlers or school-going ones (who'll be on holiday soon 😬), know the challenge of keeping them entertained indoors in limited-sized HK apartments. Luckily Hong Kong offers many indoor activities for kids of all ages.
We have gathered for you some fun activities to make your kids happy and keep you sane and relaxed. So, whether you live in the Western Part of the Island or the Eastern part of HK Island there should be something interesting, educational, Sporty or creative for your young one to enjoy, close to your Hood 😎😃!
1. Indoor playground:

This indoor playground is located in Kennedy Town. It is dedicated to children up to 12 years of age and there are also special dedicated toddler areas (ages 3 and under). There are party rooms, cafés for adults, and parking available on site. They also cater for birthday parties.

Baumhaus:
This indoor playground caters for younger kids (0–6 years old). With a birch wood “tree house” in the center and a pleasantly designed café, Baumhaus is a great place for kids to challenge their physical skills, interact and play together and for parents to relax, have a chat and drink some good coffee.
They organize baby and toddler classes (e.g. Kindermusik classes for children 0 - 3 years), new Drama program - DramaLab for 4–6 year olds and birthday parties.

2. Indoor swimming pools for water babies:
According to the LSCD website,The Leisure and Cultural Services Department manages a total of 45 public swimming pool complexes in Hong Kong, of which 9 are on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 23 in the New Territories.

The pool offer an indoor 50-meter main pool and a smaller teaching pool. There are changing rooms and lockers and you can pay with your Octopus card.
Also has facilities for those with disabilities.
Victoria Park Swimming Pool: 1 Hing Fat Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
In addition to a 50 meter indoor pool there is also a multi-purpose pool (Length 33m x Width 25m, Depth: 1.2m). Family changing room and Babycare room also available

3. Kids skilled in Languages: HK Institute of Languages
Language and Activity summer camps (for children 2-12 years old), available in 7 different languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese), are the perfect opportunity for your child to benefit from language courses while being actively involved in all kinds of fun and exciting activities. A 3-hour summer camp, every day, over a period of 4 weeks (60 hours) is an equivalent to 1 full scholastic year of 1.5 hours after school lessons per week. HK Kidz also offers culture and enrichment programmes as well.

4. Creative kids
This is the place where your kids can express themselves through art! This Art studio has 4 branches in HK with its headquarters in Sai Ying Pun and provides a range of programs to toddlers, children and teenagers, from comprehensive art programs to “focused programs” with specific approaches and types of projects.

5. Messy Jam
Their motto says “be Creative & get Messy!”. They insist that children are allowed to play and express themselves freely without any limiting their thinking as they believe the inverted classroom model provides the most effective educational development for a child’s brain. They organize summer workshops named after famous painters such as Vermeer, Hokusai, Monet, Picasso, Dali, Pollock etc. Parents are encouraged to get messy too!
A great place to do Parent-Child bonding as well. We tried it with ours and it was fun! fun! fun! 😁

6. The Mixing Bowl
Little gourmand? Then try this one out! The Mixing Bowl offers cooking hands-on classes, since they believe it is important that you know how a dough should feel, look and smell. Simple ingredients and domestic appliances are used so what you learn can be easily replicated at home. Cooking not only is an essential life skill, it is also a great way for children to learn English, practice mathematics and improve their motor skills.

7. Active kids

8. Rise high: Ryze Ultimate Trampoline Park
As you might already know, Camp RYZE is made for all kids, regardless of age and fitness level. Jump around a jumping field with over 7,000 square feet of connected 40 world-class trampolines.

9. Climb high: Verm city
Do your kids love climbing? Great, they will love Verm City. This full-facility rock climbing gym offers bouldering, lead climbing, and top rope. Young climbers should start at the age of 4. Children under the age of 12 should be supervised. Family fun guaranteed!

10. Go swoosh on stakes: Ice Palace @ Cityplaza
