Michael Kenna (1953) is a photographer who was born in Widnes, England, and is best known for his photographs of black-and-white landscapes. Kenna is one of five children born to Irish-Catholic parents. Before discovering his passion for art, he aspired to enter the priesthood because of his Irish-Catholic background.
