Home Kong through an artist's 👁️ye:

Blue Lotus Gallery, established in 2007, is a photography gallery with a strong focus on exploring Hong Kong culture and identity. Different perspectives opens up our minds. In our news letters, different artists from the Gallery will give us a peek into their own HK. Through their perspective, their lens.

The Blue Lotus gallery offers an exquisite selection of books, limited edition and vintage prints on old and new Hong Kong by respected master photographers and emerging contemporary artists.

This edition of LocalHood blog we have for you a art piece from Michael Kenna titled 'HSBC Building, Study 2, Hong Kong 2008, curtesy of Blue Lotus Gallery.

The local artist, Wing Shya first established his signature aesthetic during his collaborations as a photographer with Hong Kong’s most celebrated filmmaker Wong Kar-wai. Films such as Happy Together (1997), In the Mood for Love (2000), Eros (2004) and 2046 (2004) proved a learning curve that would evolve his style through a series of experiments and accidents.

This photographic exhibition titled Sweet Sorrow, is an ode to our desolate human condition that reads as a techni-colour love letter to the city that raised him: Hong Kong. The production from concept to the actual production took two years in the making and another two years to edit. N.

Wing Shya is definitely a great HK artist and a lover of the city. Go check him out at the Blue Lotus Gallery 😍😍 !!
