Halloween special: Spooky places on HK island for the alive (or dead 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️)

Hey y'all it is the spooky month of October again...is anyone interested in exploring haunted places in Hong Kong this Halloween? Now, for a socially and economically developed city the last thing you would expect to have is a multitude of locations that are allegedly haunted.

There are a few famous ones on Hong Kong Island such as Nam Koo Terrace (Wan Chai), High Street Community Center (Sai Ying Pun), Dragon Lodge (The Peak), Hong Kong Central Hospital (Mid Levels), Murray House (Stanley), and White House Compound (Mount Davis Pok Fu Lam).

Among these, my personal favorites are Nam Koo Terrace in Wan Chai, High Street Community Center in Sai Ying Pun and Murray House in Stanley.

There are people that have said they have seen things and heard screams coming from some of these buildings that are now abandoned among the newer buildings in our city. Some stories have been told by the elderly people are that the dead are living among us in this city side by side. From abandoned villages and luxurious houses to converted office blocks, the one thing that connects these places are the chilling stories behind them. However, the reason for writing this article is just to give you an idea of an exciting and eerie thing to do this Halloween. The stories behind these places, you can get everywhere on the net 😀.

Finally, if you do think that you are not afraid of going into these places and do decide to give them a visit, I wouldn't suggest going alone. As one of our fellow volunteers does, go with a friend who also has the same interests. It’ll be more fun, trust us.

These places are worth a visit, if you like getting in the spirit of Halloween 👻. And if you are into it, you might want to dive straight into the horrifying stories behind these buildings and go explore these places for yourself.
