LocalHood (www.localhood.org) invites you to a guided visit to the HK Observatory.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui, the Observatory Headquarters enjoys a serenity uncharacteristic of this hectic business area. It is surrounded by rich fauna and flora, some of which quite uncommon in Hong Kong.

The guided tour will take the visitors backward in time to trace the development of the Observatory in the past 140 years. Visitors can see how weather forecasts are made and how technology is put to use. They will also observe how weather observations are made using meteorological instruments.

WHEN: Sat, 28 Oct at 2:30pm (appx 1 hr).

WHERE: Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters, 134A Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.

NOTE 4: It is recommended that participants wear long-sleeved clothing or apply insect repellent to prevent mosquito bites and insect stings.
