Veganism is undoubtedly growing its way through the culinary industry and the hearts of people who show concern for their own health and the environment. Its popularity can be attributed to its plant-based diet where no animal products are incorporated into preparing vegan dishes. Most vegan dishes are also healthier, more eco friendly and animal friendly. As it’s national nutrition month, we’re hoping to see if you’ll give these 5 vegan restaurants a try! Confusion’s food is a global platter that is inspired by various cultures, ranging from Indian dishes to Japanese delicacies. Everything is 100% vegan, dairy free, egg free and cruelty free. This plant-based diet includes dishes such as Tandoori Hedgehog Mushroom Quesadilla ($80) and the petite caramel vegan cheesecake ($50).

Zen Eat Cuisine has a minimalistic and specially curated space that aims to convey traditional Japanese values of meditation and intuition through plant-based meals. There are also set vegan meals price at around $98 prepared to suit to your dietary needs. The relaxed space is complemented by the well-presented selection of farm-to-table dishes.

The majority of the menu here consists of vegan platters. And there’s a twist: the ‘meat’ is vegan. A vegan hot dog or burger costs only $38, for example, but if vegan meat doesn’t appeal to your taste buds, maybe dumplings and enoki mushrooms in udon soup ($78) will. Those starved for more can order a ‘Fortunate Set’ ($98) that sees you tucking into a bread-based main course with a salad bowl, potato wedges and juice.
